Good morning/afternoon/evening, my name is___ . It is really a great honor to have this opportunity/chance to introduce myself. I would like to answer whatever you may raise, and I hope I can make a good performance today.

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. Withtremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulationprogram for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewagetreatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and e_perience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

我叫张晨，因为我是早上出生的，那天早晨阳光灿烂特别美好。爸爸给我取此名是想让我的生活也如清晨的阳光一样灿烂。我现在上小学五年级了。在班级里个头中等。一张大圆脸。不大的眼睛，乌黑发亮，像一双黑宝石，炯炯有神。浓浓的眉毛像毛笔描过似的又粗有黑。皮肤饱吸了太阳的成份黑里透红。红彤彤的小嘴，小巧玲珑的鼻子，给人一种聪明灵巧的感觉。我的四肢非常强壮，班级没有人能欺负我。

我是一个善良的孩子。有一次，我看到一个贫穷的乞丐，跪在地上行乞。他的衣服破烂不堪，手像老榆树的皮粗糙极了。天气寒冷，他冻得鼻涕一个劲儿往下流。我看他这么可怜，就不由自主地走过去把口袋里的十元钱递给了他，然后亲切地说：“去买饭吧!”老人热泪盈眶地说：“谢谢你，你真是个好孩子。”帮助了别人，自己的心也暖暖的，觉得很美好，很幸福。这大概就是人们所说的赠人玫瑰，手有余香吧!

我还是一个淘气的孩子，记得那次，我下楼去捉蜜蜂，先是捉了一瓶子的工蜂，工蜂们像一个个披着金色盔甲的小战士威风凛凛。即使被捉进了瓶子里，它们仍飞来飞去，绝不屈服。突然，有一只马蜂映入我的眼帘，我顿时对捉这些工蜂没兴趣了，于是我把它们都放了。我小心翼翼的对准马蜂，用网罩用力地扣下去。可是这只马蜂像后背有一双眼睛似地逃了出去。这下可把它给惹恼了，他回过头，愤怒地向我扑来，用它尾端锋利的针狠狠地刺向我。当时我躲闪不急，头上立刻被蛰起了个大包。脸蛋立刻肿了起来，痛得我嗷嗷直叫。
