And it's party time in Bratislava! The Slovakian team, Bratislava, has made history by eliminating Japan Deland in the qualifiers and securing a spot in the UEFA Champions League group stages. This is a remarkable achievement for a team that has been knocking on the door for several years, but always fell short in the qualifiers. The last time they made it to the second round was back in the 1992/93 season, only to be defeated by Milan and miss out on the group stages.
Bratislava made their first appearance in the Champions League in the 1956/57 season, the second season since its establishment. At that time, there were no group stages and Czechoslovakia was still united. Unfortunately, they were knocked out by Grasshoppers from Switzerland and failed to reach the quarterfinals.
